Sales Engineer – Asia Pacific

Singapore
Description
As a Senior Sales Engineer you will support regional sales activities through pre-sales technical support to advertisers and publishers, using products to develop innovative solutions and overcoming technical obstacles presented by customers. In addition, you will provide post-sales support and issue resolution directly to customers and senior management. You will be a key member of the team based in Singapore, actively shaping the business with your technical expertise, customer focus and passion for selling innovative mobile advertising solutions to agencies, advertisers, operators and publishers in the APAC region. You will work closely with Sales, Business Development, and will liaise with Product Management and Engineering. This position requires recent successful experience working as a Sales Engineer with a SAAS-based platform supporting online/mobile marketing and/or advertising.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years as a Sales Engineer/Consultant
- Deep understanding of SAAS-based platforms and online/mobile advertising
- Experience and passion around current mobile advertising trends
- Knowledge of Rich Media, Javascript, and HTML5
- Experience with complex sales situations in emerging markets
- Desire and ability to work with complimentary technology partners in the field
- High level of comfort and experience working with all levels of professionals both internally and externally
- Excellent presentation and written skills
- Must be able to work well with Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Engineering
- Extremely detail oriented, comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies
- Candidate must be willing to travel as needed. Expected travel between 10-15%
Technical Requirements
- 3+ years UNIX/LINUX user experience (MUST)
- 3+ years Client-Server Applications installation & troubleshooting (MUST)
- 2+ years of scripting experience with one or more of the following: bash, perl, PHP (MUST)
- Strong knowledge of writing and debugging (ADVANCED JAVASCRIPT )
- Comprehensive understanding and appreciation for internet-related technology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong decision making ability and attention to detail
- A true team player with the ability to also work independently
- Willingness to travel regularly, mostly within APAC
- Fluent in English
Strongly Preferred:
- Support experience in a professional services, sales or marketing environment
- Experience successfully creating, modifying and implementing business processes
- A passion for customer service
- Bachelor’s degree
