Real-Time Targeting
Sophisticated forecasting, targeting and optimization algorithms will ensure that operators and media owners maximize
the yield from their inventory, and that advertisers maximize ROI from their campaigns by:
- Prioritizing the highest value campaigns
- Ensuring the ad’s relevance and suitability to the recipient, the handset, and the service being ad-funded
- Ensuring the recipient’s relevance to the advertiser
- Managing campaign reach and frequency objectives and
- Observing the Operator’s advertising policy guidelines
Ad selection and targeting parameters are drawn from a variety of sources including campaign setup details (including
frequency caps), contextual and metatag data, user preferences (including opt-in profile), operator policy, inventory
availability, campaign fulfillment status, etc.
The system’s ability to attribute a user can be enhanced by interacting with the operator’s user data (via real-time
integration with CRM, HLR etc). To this end, the system’s open architecture allows for smooth integration with the operator’s
systems to facilitate targeting on the basis of demographic profile (age, gender, postcode etc) click-steam, purchase
history profile etc.
The system is also aware of the device capabilities and will deliver ads that best fit the user’s device. Amobee
adopted several standards (such as MMA and WURFL) to best serve an ad on a device without interfering with the user experience.
With each ad request, the system intersects the campaign’s properties with all the other relevant parameters and selects
a campaign and an ad that receives the highest rank in terms of targeting match.
