Job Details

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer to join Amobee Brand Intelligence. Amobee Brand Intelligence is a Big Data / AI platform that helps the world’s largest brands make better decisions by understanding what matters to their audiences, and use this knowledge in order to improve advertising strategies. Our challenges include high scale processing via streaming and batch processes, NLP and ML, complex queries on top of big data sources, large scale DBs (e.g. Elasticsearch, RedShift, MongoDB, Redis etc.), infras and pipelines to analyze and store billions of events every day, connecting together into a first-rate SaaS platform. We encourage employees to take a proactive & autonomous approach in research & development while working collaboratively with developers in our group.

Our Data Engineering team is in charge of Amobee’s audience intelligence platform, a set of services and pipelines that aggregate billions of events from different sources to generate insights about specific audience’s demographics and consumption habits. As part of this team you’ll be in charge of scaling and developing new capabilities as part of the current set of services or as new services.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Product and the Data Science team to design and implement versatile back-end solutions for our platform.

Take a major part in designing and implementing complex high scale systems using a large variety of technologies such as: Spark, Airflow, Redis, Redshift and more! 

Build POC’s and explore new technologies!

Work well both independently and as part of a team.

Launch, iterate and make a difference. Provide coding expertise, and be ready to make our platform better for users.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or related field.

4+ years hands-on experience in server-side development.

Experience with a high level programming language (Ruby, Python, Clojure, Scala, Java etc.)

Experience working with NoSQL & SQL databases, Redis, Mongodb, etc.

Experience in AWS cloud or other cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong capabilities working with processing data at scale, using tools like: Spark/Hadoop, queue systems like Kafka, stores like Redis etc. 

Experience with scaling large production systems.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
