The Sr. Software engineer, Finance systems, is the subject matter expert on Company’s financial business applications and related infrastructure. The candidate must have a deep understanding of the inter-dependencies between the Company’s financial systems and accounting requirements. Routinely drives interaction and ultimate resolution between the accounting department and cross functional business partners. Responsibilities include making process improvement recommendations to accounting personnel and business partners by the utilization of broad financial systems and business knowledge to identify issues and opportunities. Assist in maintaining effective internal controls and create training materials and other documentation as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Oracle based applications related to the database from design, implementation and production support Monitor billing and revenue data pipelines, homogenize and correct data ingestions autonomously
  • Monitor and automate gross and net revenue logic and answer reporting questions for revenue and cost
  • Troubleshooting PL-SQL and issues Assist I.T. with the scheduling of off hour database maintenance with the accounting and finance organizations. Perform .NET and DevExpress maintenance upgrades to web and console applications
  • Excel reporting support and maintenance as needed Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics as needed in Oracle 11g related to system issues and engage with I.T. along with submission of ticket and appropriate priority level based on business operational impact
  • Collaborate and perform testing of system resolution in UAT environment and ensure validity of data after moved to production 
  • Assist in the testing of Oracle 11g software enhancements in production environment and perform post validation
  • Make recommendations on financial systems architectural setup and ensure that setup is appropriate to efficiently and accurately support financial system operations 
  • Create, maintain and document the Close process for new product features and provide support and maintenance as needed 
  • Manage the accounting operations code and assign the appropriate prioritization based on collaborating with accounting management team 
  • Administer Oracle drivers on users systems and maintain TNS entries
  • Act as the product subject matter expert and assist users as needed in relation to accounting operations
  • Collaborate with IT and troubleshoot as needed regarding web applications and AWS server issues
  • Manage data contract terms and vendor reporting
  • Manage the top line reconciliation process
  • Schedule and maintain database maintenance, gathering statistics for query optimization and artifact clean up 
  • Provide customer support to finance and accounting operational teams regarding accounting system related matters
  • Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Engineering/Science
  • Minimum 3 years of Oracle PL SQL or SQL equivalent experience is required
  • Proficient in C#, PL SQL and Visual Basic for Applications
  • Previous experience as a system DBA and Web design is highly desirable
  • Strong project management skills
  • Outstanding verbal communication, analytical and written skills
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with business partners and work collaboratively
  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and a strong team player
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Location for the position is at Amobee’s offices in Redwood Shores, CA, and also open to remote candidates able to support West Coast operating hours.

    Compensation for Colorado residents only:
    Amobee carefully considers many factors, such as experience and competencies, regarding compensation. These considerations can greatly impact compensation amounts. This role starts at a minimum $88,700 annual base salary. Depending on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, qualifications and skillsets, the actual pay may be higher. Amobee also offers a very competitive benefits package, which are subject to eligibility requirements.
