Reporting to the Director of Engineering Infrastructure, US, the IT Systems Engineer is responsible for performing functions such as evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of application programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes, operations and supporting our internal help desk. Other functions include analyze, install, modify and support operation systems, databases, and utilities software. The IT Systems Engineer also plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automation systems solutions. The IT Systems Engineer will provide technical expertise around the clock, supporting production systems including a wide variety of components within a Windows 10 workstation, 2012R2/2016/2019 Enterprise server, and Linux server environment.

The IT System Engineer is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems in a highly-available enterprise environment.  The IT team is responsible for application deployment, capacity planning, and a variety of other tasks related to the operational status of the Corporate Systems.  Collaboration with other teams on architectural changes and other development and testing processes is integral to the position.

The IT Systems Engineer will also assist in the administration of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.  Atlassian products are an integral part of our core infrastructure.  Including: software development code management, project/task management, customer-facing ticketing, company-wide chat, information-sharing and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 100% uptime for all servers, networking components, and application and manage system administration and maintenance for Windows and Linux based servers
  • Manage onboarding technology, setup, account creations and onboarding meetings for new employees. Manage off boarding process and collect company property
  • Respond to system alerts and resolve downtime issues promptly and provide instant troubleshooting and problem resolution for all production servers. Monitor systems health, performance, security, integrity, and functionality
  • Provide technical help desk support for end users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstations/laptops and LAN performance.
  • Deploy, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, Cisco Meraki network equipment, VOIP systems and services
  • Independently coordinate complex system deployments, including installation and configuration of hardware, loading operating system software & patches utilizing configuration management tools, and running tests or diagnostics to ensure a successful implementation
  • Support the use of cloud computing technologies such as Amazon’s EC2, S3, and cloud services and perform system backup and recovery for on-premise and cloud systems and services
  • Support for the Atlassian product suite which Amobee uses to manage and streamline business and technology workflows and information sharing
  • Discover opportunities to improve the workflow of daily tasks and lead efforts to drive improvements within IT processes Analyze and recommend new automation processes for continual business improvement
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems and run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
  • Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in the IT industry
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Strong Windows administration skills (Active Directory services, DNS, WSUS)
  • Mobile Device Management tools 
  • Experience managing Linux Systems and services
  • Proficiency working with hardware and network in an enterprise class infrastructure
  • Proficiency managing networking devices
  • Proficient in version control (git, svn)
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Experience with managing 100+ servers in multiple locations
  • Logical and methodical in troubleshooting application related problems
  • Able to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently, one on one, and in a group/team setting
  • Ability to research products, concepts and apply to systems and business
  • Familiarity in Virtualization or Cloud technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure)
  • Must be flexible to changing priorities and willing to assist wherever needed
  • Candidate must have good communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple development teams and locations
  • Candidates must have the ability to put the end user first, always. Have business awareness while the ability to work efficiently under timelines.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the following applications: Apache HTTP server, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Experience with SSO (OKTA)
  • Experience with O365 or GSuite cloud services
  • Experience with Atlassian Tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience with Firewalls
  • Good Cloud experience especially with AWS
  • Good communication, personal and governance skills
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Compensation for Colorado residents only:
    Amobee carefully considers many factors, such as experience and competencies, regarding compensation. These considerations can greatly impact compensation amounts. This role starts at a minimum $70,100 annual base salary. Depending on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, qualifications and skillsets, the actual pay may be higher.
