Technical Solutions Engineering at Amobee is at the cross-function of business and engineering helping advertising clients succeed and achieve their business goals with Amobee. In this role as a Senior Software Engineer, you will become a product expert with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end architecture of the Amobee Product suite. You will lead technical diagnosis of complex issues and development of customized engineering solutions in many areas for both internal and external clients. The technical design and diagnosis tasks you will face will be complex and will require a strong analytical, data-driven approach to problem solving. This is an exciting hybrid role that entails contributing as a technical troubleshooter, software developer, and product innovator.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve expert level end-to-end technical understanding of the Amobee product suite
  • Collaborating with peer software developers in diagnosing Tier 3 engineering support cases, working in close partnership with Customer Support and Product teams
  • Lead Development of engineering automation tools to enhance productivity of Amobee’s internal operational teams
  • Lead Development of Amobee platform features to build scalable distributed software solutions
  • Lead Development of customized technical solutions/applications for our strategic customers 
  • Actively participate in design review discussions with product and engineering teams; provide your feedback and insights to upcoming product plans
  • Coach, knowledge-share, and collaborate with fellow teammates in globally-distributed offices
  • Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years work experience with strong technology background, most likely a degree in CS or relevant technical stream
  • Expert coding skills in Java or C++/C# 
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS). Oracle/MySQL preferred
  • Experience with architecting and developing distributed and highly scalable fault tolerant systems
  • Expert understanding of web development protocols HTML, JavaScript, HTTP (headers and response codes), and networking-related protocols
  • Familiarity with Unix and scripting languages (Shell, Python/PHP) a plus
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Looker, Influx DB, Hadoop a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly understand and translate business logic into technical behavior
  • Strong Knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms
