The Senior Software Engineer position in Amobee’s Internal Financial Reporting  team is a hands-on role that contributes to Amobee’s success through leadership in large-scale systems and advanced database architecture. At Amobee, you will be working on exciting projects processing 8M events/sec in real-time. We build ETL pipelines managing financial transactions in a large-scale transactional system! Qualified individuals will have a solid background in the fundamentals of computer science, building ETL processes and large-scale data processing.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop next-generation service oriented reporting stack hosting financial data and powering reporting for all systems
  • Design highly scalable and reliable analytical solutions for accurate and timely reporting
  • Implement scalable ETL processes to collect and store large amounts of data from multiple systems and diverse external partners
  • Develop performance optimized software solutions to manage financial transactions in a large-scale transactional system (500 million transactions per day)
  • Develop and implement advanced Tableau dashboards and applications to make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable
  • Work with operations to build a maintainable, scalable, and high-quality deployment of solutions
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders including senior management to deliver best in class financial reporting for data driven decision making
  • Own and evolve platform components and mentor other engineers
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of backend development experience in Java, Python or Scala Experience with modern data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as SQL, Postgres, Oracle or MySql, and NoSQL databases such as  Redis or Cassandra
  • Proficiency in design, development and management of Tableau server and dashboards
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms like Datorama and Looker
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS stack
  • Effective verbal and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science/MBA or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with AWS data management, DevOps processes and technologies (Jenkins/Travis, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring systems, etc) 
  • Experience with OLAP cube reporting tools a plus
  • Experience in modeling practical machine learning problems, including data processing, feature engineering, model selection and evaluation is a plus
  • Adtech industry experience is a plus
  • Location for the position is at Amobee’s offices in New York, NY, and also open to remote candidates able to support East Coast operating hours.

    Compensation for Colorado residents only:
    Amobee carefully considers many factors, such as experience and competencies, regarding compensation. These considerations can greatly impact compensation amounts. This role starts at a minimum $88,700 annual base salary. Depending on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, qualifications and skillsets, the actual pay may be higher. Amobee also offers a very competitive benefits package, which are subject to eligibility requirements.
