Amobee is committed to keeping the worldwide public informed in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. On 16 March 2020, Amobee took action during the pandemic to launch a global PSA campaign, delivering up-to-date information. On 25 March 2020, our COVID-19 PSA campaign continued to build momentum and secured participation from the World Health Organization (WHO). We released a series of banner ads featuring a simple call-to-action linking consumers to the WHO’s dedicated site on the virus.
Over the past few months, we have seen the number of COVID-19 cases rise in Asia. Hence, we are extending focused PSA campaign efforts toward Asian countries that are being heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amobee has teamed with OpenX to combat misinformation in a special “Asia Edition” of the Amobee PSA campaign, which highlights best practices for personal and public safety during the pandemic. OpenX has been investing time and effort to link Amobee with top publishers and partners in key affected countries, including India’s Network18, Indonesia’s Kompas Cyber Media, Malaysia’s Media Prima, and Thailand’s Kaidee.
Powered by OpenX, Amobee will be leveraging our partners’ generous contributions to the cause. Each of the publishers are contributing 1,000,000 impressions at no charge via private auction deals. OpenX helped to facilitate these deals and Amobee will be leveraging OpenX’s technology to power them. There will be more partnerships to come in the near future as well.
As Asia is diverse in countries and languages, Amobee is leveraging dynamic banners to ensure consumers’ full understanding of the important messages from the WHO. These ads are triggered by geo to serve the correct language within the corresponding countries/regions.
